SOCIAL BASKETBALL

Basketball SA conducts social basketball competitions in most of their metropolitan stadiums. With various grades offered, social basketball caters for everyone from those just wanting to have a bit of fun and improve fitness to the more serious players seeking strong competition.

Social basketball competitions are open to the general community to enter a team. This could be a group of friends, classmates or work colleagues. Social teams can play in varying levels or grades, different age groups, all male, all female or mixed teams and the local competition management will adjudicate the best fit for each team. Competitions are played in seasons, which can be approximately 3 – 5 months long and include a final series and grand final with winning teams receiving trophies!

Social basketball is a great way to keep fit, develop your basketball skills, develop teamwork and socialise in an enjoyable and relaxed environment.

All games are refereed by accredited officials and teams are only required to supply one scorer for each game and be in matching uniforms.
