Referee Development Camp 2012
In September 2012 Basketball SA in conjunction with SA Country Basketball and all affiliated associations will be conducting the annual State Wide Referee Development Camp.
The Camp this year will run over the first weekend of the school holiday, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of September. This change of date from the traditional last weekend of the school holidays is due to South Australia hosting the 2012 Under 14 Nationa Junior Club Championships during 1st to 6th October.
Referees from all over South Australia are invited to attend the Camp and advance their theory knowledge of basketball while working on their next level of accreditation. During the two day event we will be running courses for;
Level 1B, 1A
Level 2
Referee Coach Level 0/1
Score Table Level 0/1
This is a great opportunity for referees to advance while learning from experienced presenters while meeting new and old friends in basketball.
Saturday begins at 10.00am with check-in and registration with sessions commencing at 10.30am. Lunch and evening meal is provided with the final session for Saturday concluding around 9pm. Sunday kicks off at 9am and the Camp finishes around 1pm on Sunday. Breakfast and bed linen is included for those country officials wishing to stay over on the Saturday night.
We will again offer a score table course for those wishing to learn the basics of score duties such as - Score sheet, game clock, possession arrow and shot clock. This course will run Saturday afternoon.
All courses are official national qualifications and on completion of all components participants will receive their national certificate and accreditation card.
