FIBA Oceania Tournament Appointments

Congratulations to Tracy York who has been appointed Women's Head Coach for the 2012 U17 FIBA Oceania Tournament.

Tracy has an extensive list of basketball credentials to her name, including Technical Assistant Coach with the Adelaide 36ers NBL team (2010/2011 season), Assistant Coach with the Adelaide Lightning  (2011/2012), Head Coach of North Adelaide Rockets Men’s ABL team from 2009 – 2011, Head Coach of Woodville Warriors ABL Men’s team, from 2001-2004, ABL Men’s Coach of the Year in 2004, Assistant Coach of the Australian Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games, and Head Coach of U16, U18 and U20 SA Women’s basketball teams for over ten years.

In 2005, Tracy accepted a job in Singapore as Technical Director for the Basketball Association of Singapore, a position she held until 2008.

Congratulations also to Judi Roberts who has been appointed Team Manager for this team. Judi was Team Manager in last year’s FIBA Oceania Tournament and has been Team Manager of SA Metro Men’s teams for a number of years.

The FIBA Oceania Tournament will be held from the 24th November – 2nd December in La Trobe, Victoria. Athletes will be selected based on their performance at the Australian Development Camp in late September.
