BASKETBALL SA COUNCIL AND COMMISSION
COUNCIL
The Council consists of members representatives from each of the four key stakeholder groups – Basketball Adelaide, SA Country, SA Church and Recreation Centres.
The Council acts as the member body responsible for representing member associations at General Meetings. The Council will:
- Appoint the Independent Commissioners to the Commission;
- Consider Basketball SA’s annual report and accounts as prepared by the Commission and the Auditor;
- Review and provide feedback to the Commission in relation to the upcoming year's fee structure for Basketball SA as prepared by the Commission;
- If requested to do so by the Commission, review and if it sees fit approve the Membership Subscription requiring approval under clause 10 (b)
- Provide feedback and input to the Commission on the development and review of Basketball SA’s strategic plan;
- Expel Members;
- Amend this Constitution (but only be Special Resolution); and
- Perform such other acts or functions as are required by the Act or this Constitution to be performed by the Council.

COMMISSION
The Commission acts as the Board of Basketball SA and governs the sport in South Australia. The Commission is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the sport and overseeing the performance of its operation.
The Commission consists of four independent members, one Basketball Adelaide representative, one SA Country representative and one SA Church representative. The governance structure has been developed to fairly represent the sport statewide.
