A game surrounded with hype filled an electric crowd at the ARC, where the Forestville Eagles overcame the Norwood Flames by 13-points, stamping their ticket for the Grand Final next week.
After having what was a difficult time making an impact for much of the evening, Michael Harris found form throughout the final term.
Harris notched nineteen fourth quarter points including some incredible back-to-back-to-back baskets allowing a double-digit lead.
Daniel Johnson too had an authoritative night on the floor leading the contest with 32-points, 13-rebounds and 9-dimes in an astounding performance in front of his 36ers teammates sitting within the crowd.
Despite the final margin, Norwood played hard basketball for much of the contest working for every basket.
The Flames had it their way throughout the 3rd period outscoring the 21-14 allowing them a slender 2-point lead heading into the final quarter.
The Eagles defence halted a potentially vicious Flames offence from having a crucial impact. With a stellar defensive performance by Forestville, McGriff, D. Webber and Stanbridge still finished their season with 20, 19 and 16-points respectively.
The matchup appeared difficult for the Flames offensively, after finishing with just over 30 per cent from the floor including a poor 8-29 from deep.
Despite battling for their baskets, the Eagles continued to control the tempo for much of the contest including in the paint.
The travelling Eagles pummelled their counterparts in the paint, outscoring Norwood 24-38.
The Forestville win books their ticket to suit up against Southern next Saturday night in the Premier Leagues big dance.
