Basketball SA’s Awards Advisory Group are calling for expressions of interest for an Event Manager (volunteer position) for the Hall of Fame Dinner proposed to be held in August 2019.
The Event Manager will be required to prepare a proposal/event costing to present to the Basketball SA Commission. Upon approval, The Event Manager will be responsible for managing planning and proceedings for the event including (but not limited to) marketing, attendance, menus and set up, guest speakers, and presentations.
The Event Manager will become a member of the Awards Advisory Group and be required to report progress and coordinate tasks at the monthly meeting (held on a Wednesday morning, actual dates TBC).
This position is a volunteer position suited to someone with event planning experience or someone wishing to gain experience to complement existing studies in event planning or marketing. The position will require a small weekly commitment of time that may increase closer to the event.
