Basketball SA would like to thank the Hon Leon Bignell MP, Minister for the Office for Recreation and Sport, for funding provided by the State Government's Sporting Surfaces Program.

The funding will be to replace, repair or resurface basketball courts (flooring) across Adelaide Metro and Country South Australia. 

Marion Basketball Stadium: $129,000
Port Adelaide Stadium: $240,000
3x3 Outdoor Courts, North Adelaide: $75,000

In addition, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield were awarded $425,000 to fund the 5th court at the Lightsview Indoor Recreation Centre, and the following stadiums and centres will also see funding assistance as part of the State Government's Sporting Surfaces Program: 

Mount Gambier Stadium: $23,000
Gawler Recreation Centre: $75,000
Seaford Recreation Centre: $150,000
Renmark Recreation Centre: $70,000
Roxby Downs Stadium: $45,000
Basketball SA are thrilled by this fantastic result and celebrate the upcoming upgrades which will help clubs to grow basketball in South Australia.
