Basketball SA are excited to present their new High School Inclusive Basketball Program.
Basketball SA currently run an Inclusive Basketball Program at Pasadena High School on Monday nights for students and adults who suffer from a physical and/or mental disability, as well as those who struggle culturally or socially.
Over the past few years this program has expanded with much success, we have three divisions of five teams for players of all capabilities. To help continue the growth of the program, Basketball SA is starting a High School only competition for students with a physical and/or mental impairment, or those who struggle culturally.
We are starting a new training program for our high school participants, this program aims to be as fun and inclusive as possible for all students involved, it will give them a chance to either try a new sport or continue to grow their skills that they already have. Along with this they will also get the opportunity to meet new people and create new friends in the process. The training sessions will start on March 6th and be run on Monday afternoons, 4.30pm – 5.00pm, at Pasadena High School. The cost to each player is $5 per week.
Our aim is for the participants to transfer into a competition at the end of the term.
